Generation Blue: The New Wave Group

When we came up with the concept of the Coldwell Banker network of agents being called “Generation Blue” we had a very unique concept in mind. We recognized that the real estate industry was changing and those who were having the greatest success separated themselves by utilizing the powers of new technology by marrying them with traditional selling practices. And isn’t that why Coldwell Banker leads the industry as we combine our adaptability and zest for innovation with the learnings from our 105-year-old legacy.

And the Generation Blue Experience brings together thousands of agents from all walks of life who have a desire increase their skills by learning from each other. Last year at Gen Blue we showcased three unique agents who helped define Gen Blue – Christophe Choo, Jessica Edwards and Maya Paveza.

This year we have even more.

Let me introduce you to the New Wave Group. This group of a dozen or so individual agents from Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in South Beach has a lot to share. They are a diverse group with various real experiences who look at real estate sales differently than many of us. They believe that while they have individual businesses, collaboration with like minded people helps each other collectively grow. Mentored by their manager, Nancy Corey, these agents are truly Generation Blue. Sure I could go on about their use of social media, idea sharing and cross promotion of listings, but we’ll just give you a taste in the video below. Then you’ll get the full details and be able to network with this unique group of agents first hand as they’ll be on an agent panel on the main stage at Gen Blue. Don’t miss the experience! Register for Gen Blue today!

  3. I’m sorry, I have to give some honest feedback here. The highly produced, polished video about an innovative real estate group in which the meat of the content is “we post the house on facebook and like it.” Really, in my opinion to anyone under the age of 50, rather than communicating “cutting edge” you are communicating “obviously contrived”. I wouldn’t go near an agent with a ten foot pole that thinks exposing a listing to their 2,000 facebook “friends” is the “new wave” of real estate strategy. You grossly underestimate the digital and social savvy of your potential clients.

  4. Jim Smith states the “you grossly underestimate the digital and social savvy of your potential clients”. I am not sure about the market that Jim is in, but statistics show that our generation is moving further and further towards this technology. I can speak for myself that collaboration mixed with social media and search engine optimization are the way to go. No matter which source you read from, eighty to ninety percent of homebuyers are doing their research first online. The larger the presence, and the perception of widespread marketing the better return. The age of the newspaper and postcards has taken a backseat to the online marketing which costs pennies on the dollar in comparison. I love the old marketing techniques and still use them, but I am absolutely in favor of the new technology that is being used in today’s Real Estate business. Way to go NEW WAVE GROUP!!!

  7. I didn’t feel any warmth or connection with the stars of the Generation Blue crew selling/buying real estate. It was flashy and the crew looked great, but everyone has technology available.
I believe emphasis on branding should be the focus of attracting buyers to our stores.
ie: Coca Cola’s white bear sells more soda than any star.

  8. It seems like the group is trying to present themselves as digital media savvy, yet their main selling point is that they know how to post a listing on facebook. It is true that most all forms of marketing (not just real estate) benefit from a social media component. But mentioning facebook, search engine optimization, and online home research as “innovative” is almost like a punchline to a joke after watching how the video package set it up. I agree with comment #3, if you think your target demo is impressed by the “Blue Group” barely catching up to 2007 (and, by the looks of it, very impressed with themselves for doing so) you are mistaken.
